Own the morning and rest the night
Some of you might feel guilty about waking up late in the morning. 7:00 AM isn’t late yet, but for a person like you who has to be productive and responsible for everything, it will feel like waking up at lunchtime.
When the stars arise brightly, you have to eat at around 7:00 PM to stay up until 11:00 PM doing all the things that can be done tomorrow.
And saying "I’ll do this tomorrow instead." is not written in your script.
I envy you for being like that, but not until I started to be responsible on my own. I had to wake up early because if I don’t, time will run as fast as it can. At night, when I was supposed to be sleeping, I still had to do some things that could not be done tomorrow.
And saying "I’ll do this now." is always my line.
I enjoyed it at first, but when it felt like my world kept on revolving around unending tasks, I stopped and cried.
And then a morning starts to feel like my morning again. I woke up at around 7:00, hugged my pillow, rolled over in bed, and stretched my arms. I smiled.
I opened the window and breathed, "So this is what morning feels like..."
I made a cup of coffee while doing some tasks. But this time, little by little. I did make sure to have time for myself, treat myself, and eat.
When evening came, I ate early and went to bed. I didn’t do anything but lay down because sometimes being productive too much is bad. Learn how to own the morning and rest the night.
You deserve it.
