Choose where you have to have a green thumb
When I was a kid, my grandma used to teach me how to plant. But every time I’m starting to pour the water in the flowerpot, after weeks, it isn’t growing.
I asked why her plants were growing so lovely and alive, "Why you’re good at planting?"
The corner of her mouth turned up, "You just have to love it. Give yourself patience, love, and kindness. You don't have to always water all the seeds you see. Choose where you have to have a green thumb."
My mind couldn't process what she said because I was too young. But when I grew up like her plants, I agreed to it.
A person who has a green thumb is good at growing plants. My grandma is indeed a green thumb. But everyone can have it. You just have to give patience, love, and kindness.
Some people who are passing by in your life might put seeds in your pot, but you have to choose what seeds you are going to water. What seeds are you going to have a green thumb. If someone said something not nice to you, think that as a seed of discomfort and discouragement. Will you pour water in it?
Because me, I won’t. I don’t want it to grow, I’m scared that it might grow in my mind and heart. I only wanna give love, patience, and kindness to those people who’s putting seeds of kindness and love— I will pour water in it so it grows.
Now, think what seeds are you going to water and grow. Choose where you have to have a green thumb.
